Who am I?

I suppose I should start by saying who I am. I'm Bruce, I live in the North East of England, where I live with my wife Rachael and our cat.   I'm a software developer, it's a job that's taken me all over Europe.  I've had permanent jobs, I've worked as a consultant, and as a contractor.  

I started my career with ICL and was part of the team that helped set up BBC Online.  I've since worked with a few big names - Alliance & Leicester, Barclays Bank, Scandinavian Airways, BT, Department of Health, Volkswagen, Heinz, blah blah blah.
For over 4 years I've been working for the same company.  I started with a 6 month contract at Swiftcover.com, which turned in to a 12 month contract.  I later decided to take a permanent position and I've been there ever since.  We've been through some restructuring so I now work for Axa Personal Lines.

I intend this blog to be a bit techy.  I regularly help people and send them big long emails on how to do stuff.  Instead, I'm going to blog it so others can benefit too.

I'm missing Boro vs Palace to get this started.  Probably a good thing, its just started snowing, they'll probably call it off.
